About Us
Contour Fiberglass Repair, Inc. was purchased by James and Julie Christie of Island Lake, Illinois, early in 2008. The original business had been owned for the previous 11 years by Riley Shands, and operated under the name Contour Fiberglass, Inc. James worked for Riley throughout that time, all the while expanding and enhancing his skills as the business grew to serve numerous customers on the Chain and in the surrounding areas.
Upon Riley's retirement, the Christies decided it was time to go into business for themselves. With a total of 20 years of experience in the fiberglass repair industry, James is determined to carry on the tradition of quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and friendly, professional customer service that the company is known for throughout the Chain O'Lakes region.
Community Involvement
Contour Fiberglass Repair is a proud sponsor of the Mustang Division Tigers baseball team of the Lakes Youth Athletic Association. Photos below are of the Tigers team and the "boat float" that the team rode in during the 2008 Memorial Day Parade in Wauconda, Illinois.
